Two people were killed on Thursday in Onitsha, Anambra State, when a 20 feet container slipped off from a trailer and felled on two tricycles at Upper Iweka by Obodoukwu Road Junction.
Four other people injured were rushed to various hospitals.
The Divisional Police Officer of Okpoko Police Police Station,Ibrahim Jafiru, confirmed the incident.
According to him, the victims were in critical conditions, promising that he would visit them after the rescue operations were concluded.
The spokesman of the state police command, Haruna Mohemmed, also confirmed the incident.
He said the police had evacuated the vehicles off the road.
